Modern Warfare III continues the campaign of the rebooted Modern Warfare series. Its missions mix directed sequences with Open Combat Missions.
Multiplayer and Zombies
Multiplayer includes modernized maps from Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and aftermarket weapon parts. Zombies is an open-world PvE mode with missions and squad cooperation.

Identify the right game
Modern Warfare III is the 2023 release. Modern Warfare 3 from 2011 is a different game, and Modern Warfare 4 has its own hub. Match the year before following a walkthrough.
Open Combat Missions
The campaign combines directed missions with Open Combat Missions that provide more flexibility in approach. A filmed route shows one player’s choices; it is not necessarily the only route through an objective.
Multiplayer and Zombies
Activision’s store description highlights modernized classic multiplayer maps and a Zombies PvE experience. These modes have different objectives from the story missions in Rayen’s video series.
