Choose your mode
Multiplayer is announced with 12 new 6v6 maps plus larger battlefields. DMZ focuses on entering a conflict zone, recovering equipment and extracting, either alone or with a squad.
Weapon handling is the focus
Activision calls its connected aiming, handling, audio and visibility technology Ballistic Authority. These are publisher descriptions; independent launch testing is needed to judge the result.

The official announcement lists twelve new 6v6 maps and additional large-scale maps with infantry and vehicles. A map count does not confirm the launch playlist rotation or every matchmaking option.
What DMZ is
DMZ is an extraction mode: enter a combat zone, recover equipment and leave with what you can carry. Activision describes both solo deployment and squads. Coordinating when to leave is part of the appeal.
Weapon technology
Ballistic Authority connects aiming, handling, camera, visibility and audio. Treat that as the developer’s description of the system. Weapon rankings and competitive balance need evidence from the released game and its current patch.
